business casual

lilac cardigan, white tee, black pencil pants, leopard flats 6

This is one of my favorite types of outfits for work: simple tee with a pair of black pencil pants, long cardigan and flats. Easy peasy, comfortable and still polished enough for the office. It's my no-brainer, don't even have to think about it, throw on and go outfit. And it's definitely not the first time I've worn something like it on the blog (see here and here). I think the cardigan helps keep it from looking too boring - the pretty lilac hue just screams spring to me.

I snagged the tan version as a replacement for my favorite cardigan that died last summer and loved it so much I got it in pink lily as well. While this look is more business casual, I think this cardi would also look pretty dressed up with a pencil skirt or dressed down with a gray tee and jeans. I'm kind of obsessed with the idea of pairing it with a pretty floral - something like this top from Dorothy Perkins. It's already hitting temps the 80s here in Florida (crazy, amright?!?), but I'm not quite ready to embrace the warmer weather, so this outfit felt like a good compromise.

  1. I love this! So simple but so polished and classic. The best kind of outfit. And the color of the cardigan is so pretty!
